To show our appreciation of the community that has given us so much, we are releasing our first charity tee with a part of the proceeds going to a few local organizations.
The Radio Tee features a graphic of Radio Raheem from Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing in a pose like that of Muhammad Ali in the iconic photo of him atop a Chicago rooftop.
The $35 price tag breaks down into $20 for the cost of the product, $5 for overhead costs, and $10 to donate to three Toronto-based organizations that support the local Black and people of colour community.
These organizations are the Black Business and Professional Association, the Black Legal Action Centre, and Change for a Hundred.
The Black Business and Professional Association is a Canadian non-profit, charitable organization that supports black communities in Canada by providing programs that support businesses, higher education, and economic development.
The Black Legal Action Centre is an Ontario-based non-profit corporation that provides legal aid services to low and no income Black Ontario residents. They educate, advocate and litigate to combat anti-Black racism in Ontario
Change for a Hundred is a fundraiser to help provide grocery gift cards to Toronto households affected by the pandemic. Every $100 raised buys one $100 gift card for groceries for a family in need.
