Going Forward

The black community has helped build Televised to what it is today and what it will be in the future. From Spike Lee to Virgil Abloh to Zac Clark, I have looked to black creatives and their work for inspiration and guidance. I cherish the endless and invaluable contributions that the black community has made to the culture that Televised and I inhabit.

Going forward, Televised Toronto will feature more people of colour in our mood board images and recommend more films by people of colour featuring people of colour. At the end of the month, we’re going to release a charity tee and donate most of the profits to a Toronto-based organization that supports black Torontonians, more info on that to come. This is how Televised will contribute to change, we aren’t going to be perfect, but we are going to try our fucking best.

If you can buy shirts from us, you can donate. If you can watch the films we recommend, you can educate yourself. If you can go to a meet-up or pick-up, you can vote. Everyone can do something to make change.
